Annaleise has been invited to speak and start the End Alzheimer's Walk in Phoenix on November 2nd.
Annaleise's Dream -- My dream is to do whatever I can to help make my Grandpa better.
My Grandpa's name is Glen Campbell and he was diagnosed with Alzheimer's when I was just four years old. Now, at the age of eight, I don't remember much of the fun times we had before he got sick. My mom shows me pictures of my grandpa holding me as a baby on stage and she said he was so proud of me that he introduced me to his audience! I wish I could remember that. I know my grandpa loves me very much… He remembers me every time I see him. Sometimes He gets confused and thinks that I am his daughter (my aunty) when she was a little girl. However, each time I visit my grandpa, he seems to forget more and more and asks a lot of the same questions over and over again. That doesn't stop us from talking and watching movies together though! My grandpa loves it when I pick him flowers from grandmas garden. He will stop whatever he is doing (even when he's playing the guitar) to give me a kiss and say thank you. Every time my grandpa sees me, he smiles. I don't ever want that to change.

As I grow older, I want to be able to be like my Aunty Ashley and talk to congress and raise awareness about Alzheimers. I see that it really hurts her to see Grandpa sick. Alzheimers doesn't only make one person sick, it hurts everyone else around, too. I am so happy that I will be able to give my own speech before the walk to tell everyone my story. I want to let people know that this disease doesn't just make you forget, it makes everybody else sad.
Our soap business will donate a portion of each sale toward her team until the walk.
